The Brief

A family home in Surrey had been relying on an ageing boiler that was becoming unreliable and increasingly expensive to run. What We Did

Our work included:

• Surveyed the existing system: We assessed the current boiler, the flue, the gas supply and the pipework so the recommendation suited the home rather than a one-size-fits-all option. We explained the choices clearly and gave a transparent price before any work began.
• Removed and disposed of the old boiler: The ageing unit was safely isolated, disconnected and removed, with all gas and water connections properly capped, then taken away and disposed of responsibly.
• Installed a new A-rated combi boiler: A modern, high-efficiency condensing unit was fitted to suit the household's heating and hot water demand, keeping running costs down.
• Connected and pressure-tested the pipework: New gas and water connections were made to manufacturer specifications and British Standards, then checked to confirm there were no leaks.
• Commissioned and tested the boiler: The system was filled, pressurised and thoroughly tested. All controls, thermostats and safety devices were verified to be working correctly by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Registered the warranty and handed over: We registered the manufacturer warranty and showed the homeowners how to operate the new boiler, adjust the temperatures and get in touch if they ever needed us.
